Comunque quello rimase zitto e poi, torcendosi le mani, mormorò che la cosa peggiore per lui era pensare a quando lo avrebbe saputo suo padre. Il padre era un operaio e un sindacalista. Sapere che il figlio era stato arrestato per rapina gli avrebbe spezzato il cuore. Non furono proprio queste le parole, ma il senso era questo. Io feci di sí con la testa e poi gli dissi che se voleva potevo andare io dal padre a informarlo.
